FOUR ESSENTIAL TRUTHS
The following are the four essential truths of City Point Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
1. The Bible Is The Word Of God.
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right.
2 Timothy 3:16 NLT
2 Timothy 3:16 NLT
2. Jesus Christ Is The Son Of God.
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6 NLT There is salvation in no one else, no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them.
John 14:6 NLT There is salvation in no one else, no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them.
3. You Must Be Born Again
God created humanity for relationship with Him, but because of sin, all people are separated from God and in need of salvation. We cannot save ourselves through effort or moral behavior; only God’s grace can restore us. When a person puts their faith in Jesus Christ, they are spiritually reborn and become a new creation. Their old life is gone, and a new life in Christ begins
2 Corinthians 5:17 LB

4. Believers Can Be Spirit Filled And Spirit Led
We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a powerful experience available to believers after & separately than salvation. Being filled with the Holy Spirit enables Christians to live holy lives, be bold in their witness, and walk in the power and guidance of the Spirit daily.
Acts 2:1–4; Galatians 3:14
Acts 2:1–4; Galatians 3:14
Salvation
Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.
The Church
The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Resurrection
Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.
