Is City Point College accredited?
City Point College partners with Destiny Leadership Institute (DLI), offering a two-year program that leads to a Certificate in Christian Leadership. Through DLI’s articulation agreements with Southeastern University and Nelson University, students have the option to transfer credits toward an undergraduate degree.
How much does it cost to attend City Point College?
Tuition is $2,500 per academic year. Of that, $1,500 is paid directly to Destiny Leadership Institute in six consecutive installments, and the remaining $1,000 is paid to City Point College. Flexible payment plans are available to make tuition more manageable.
What is the schedule like for City Point College students?
Live classes are held weekly on Tuesday evenings from 7:00–8:00 PM, with practicum sessions every Sunday from 8:00 AM–3:00 PM. Academic coursework through Destiny Leadership Institute is completed online, with assignments and deadlines set by DLI.
What does the practicum at City Point College include?
Each student is placed in a ministry department within the church, gaining real-world experience in serving, leading teams, and advancing a clear vision. Throughout the year, students also learn the inner workings of church operations, events, and community outreaches, gaining a well-rounded understanding of ministry in action. This hands-on training is a vital part of shaping confident, capable leaders.
What's the time commitment like for City Point College students?
At City Point College, students can expect to dedicate 15–25 hours per week to assignments, lectures, and practical ministry work.
Who is City Point College for?
This program is designed for individuals who want to deepen their biblical knowledge, gain practical ministry experience, and develop strong leadership skills. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED before applying.

Spiritual Development 101: Spiritual Development 101 equips students to deepen their walk with Jesus by understanding the role of the Holy Spirit and standing firm in spiritual warfare through biblical truth.

Self-Leadership 201: Self-Leadership 201 helps students discover their ‘why’, gaining clarity on who they are in Christ, understanding their unique wiring through personality assessments, and building the self-discipline needed to thrive in life and ministry.

Team-Leadership 301:  Team Leadership 301 equips students to lead like Jesus, embracing servant leadership, becoming an ideal team player, and learning to cast vision and establish values that inspire and unite others.

Ministry Development 401: Ministry Development 401 gives students hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of church life, learning how to plan, organize, and execute events and ministries with excellence from start to finish.
YEAR TWO
Spiritual Development 102: Spiritual Development 102 helps students cultivate a life anchored in personal prayer, learning to lead from the quiet place with Jesus and draw strength from His presence in every season of ministry.

Self-Leadership 202: Self-Leadership 202 equips students to steward their spirit, soul, and body with wisdom, developing healthy rhythms, boundaries, and habits that sustain a lifetime of effective ministry, while learning to navigate relationships and handle conflict with grace.

Team-Leadership 302:  Team Leadership 302 develops students in the art of communication, learning how to prepare a message, communicate effectively within teams, and build meaningful connections across the church.

Ministry Development 402: Ministry Development 402 helps students bring together everything they’ve learned, developing the skills and character needed to lead effectively and build leadership that lasts.

Introduction to Bible: Designed to give a clear, usable understanding of the Bible and to teach basic Bible study methods.

Old Testament Survey: Provides a basic framework for understanding and interpreting the Old Testament by offering vital historical, geographical, and cultural insights.

Servant Leadership: Offers a look at Jesus’ life and ministry in its historical and theological context, while focusing on Him as the ultimate servant leader.

Christian Foundations I: Introduces the field of theology and provides a workable knowledge of the following important Christian doctrines: the Bible, God, man, and sin.

New Testament Survey: Provides a basic framework for understanding and interpreting the New Testament by offering vital historical, geographical, and cultural insights.
YEAR TWO
Spiritual Formation: This course focuses on the development of the believer’s spiritual life. Attention is given to the spiritual disciplines, the connection between ministry and character, and the relationship between formation and sanctification.
 
Spirit-Filled Leadership: The course prepares students for Spirit-Filled ministry and offers biblically sound practical theology of Spirit-led ministry through preaching, teaching and leading in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Intro to Christian Ministry: Helps students identify and implement values, vision, mission and strategy in their ministry contexts.

Ministry Skills: Introduces two vital ministry skills: communication and care – Helps students develop and deliver clear, powerful sermons and lessons and overviews principles of pastoral care and counseling.

Christian Foundations II: Introduces the field of theology and provides a workable knowledge of the following important Christian doctrines: Christ, Salvation, The Holy Spirit, The Church, and Last Things.
