Community Group Updates | March 14, 2020
As of right now, our Spring Semester of Community Groups is still underway. The CDC mitigation strategies for the current state do not prohibit small group meetings. The only concern would be for individuals who are included in the vulnerable population:
Our Community Group network is going to be paramount moving forward, especially if Collin County implements a ban on all large gatherings. Through Community Groups, we have the opportunity to provide comfort, prayer and encouragement to all in our community. We must remember “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that all of us reflect Christ and demonstrate faith that provides true assurance in the midst of these difficult circumstances. This does not mean we should be careless or reactionary but rather walk in wisdom as we serve the Lord and our community in a way that demonstrates our trust in God and our love for people.
- Older adults (60+)
- Individuals with chronic medical conditions like heart disease, diabetes & lung disease.
