Uprise is our weekly Wednesday night ministry at City Point for students 7-12th grade. Our namesake comes from Ephesians 5:14:

"Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light."

We strive to create an environment where students can meet Christ, find community and discover their God-given purpose.  All of that can be summed up into our vision statement:

"Uprise is a PLACE where You Matter, You Belong. And our PURPOSE is to Encourage Calling & Equip To Minister."

Every student who walks through our doors on Wednesday is greeted by a group of excited people ready to welcome you to another great night at Uprise! If it is your first visit, that’s awesome! You’ll be directed to a check-in station to give us a little information about yourself. It’s very important for us to know who you are, who your parents are, and how to get in contact in case of emergency and to let you know about upcoming events at Uprise.

Safety is extremely important to us. Our volunteers are background-checked and trained to create a safe, secure environment for every student.

A typical night at Uprise usually starts out with some free time, then a fun game, worship by our student band, and a message geared towards students and their everyday life.

We believe every student should know that they matter and that they belong. That's why we do our very best to meet every student where they are at and help them take their next step with God. Whether that's through small group discussions or just hanging out outside of church, having friends & adult leaders in your life can help you experience the full life God has given you.

Students are constantly bombarded with "a way of life" they should pursue and it's our mission to help cut through the noise. By helping students see the lies of the enemy and introducing the new life Christ has for them, they can experience the true freedom found in a personal relationship with Jesus.

It's possible to be saved but still not live in the transformative life Christ died for us. There's plenty of reasons for it; feeling inadequate, fear of failure, sin in your life, peer pressure, lack of support, etc. Whatever the reason, we want to help each student seize the new life that's available to them & remind them of the support they have in Uprise.

We meet every Wednesday, from 7PM - 8:30PM in the City Kids Auditorium at the church. Student drop-off and pick-up is at the Hope Lobby entrance, don't worry you'll see the signs and hear the noise lol. We understand it can be a bit intimidating on your first visit but we promise you our vibe is pretty laid back. A regular night can be summed up this way: hangout, play games, sing worship & hear a message.

Crews are our small groups in Uprise. Every month we have crews meet up in the area to help build community & foster relationships within the youth group. Typically we do our best to try and plan these outside of Wednesday nights. If attending services feels intimidating, we highly suggest trying out a Crew first. Currently we have a guy & girl crews for mid & high school students.

Follow us on IG or FB for reminders and any last minute updates for our next Crew hangouts.

We always end our months with some kind of event. These take place outside of the church with the sole purpose to create a safe & fun environment for students to bring their friends  and have a great time. In the past this has included event venues like Urban Air & Whirlyball as well as house parties at various student's homes.
