September  Series

Are you living toward the target? In this series, we will focus specifically on the home and how we can cultivate God-centered relationships with our family. God has given us specific instructions on how we interact with those most special to us, and we will look at God’s targets for parenting, family, and more. Although you may have missed the mark in the past, now is the perfect time to draw your bow and aim for the bullseye.

Sisterhood Night
Hey Girls! It’s time to Light Up The Night at our next Sisterhood gathering on Friday, October 5th at 7:30 with special guest speaker Pastor Dianne Wilson from Newport Church in Newport Beach, CA. Dianne is the founder of the Imagine Foundation – an organization that goes into local public schools to teach girls about their value and seeing themselves as God created them. You will have a fun night with food on the lawn, giveaways, worship, an inspiring message, afterparty, dancing, new Sisterhood merch and much more. Invite your girlfriends and join us for one of the best nights of the year!

The nitty-gritty
The cost is $15 per ticket. Childcare is available for infants through 6th grade for $5 per child – pre-registration is required. Online registration opens on August 19th. The lawn will open at 6:30 with auditorium doors opening at 7:00.

It’s time for a manly weekend get-away at Lake Texoma with the guys of City Point. This Men’s retreat will be one for the books – brotherhood, fire pits, great food & a gathering on Friday night and Saturday morning to hear from Pastor Eddie. There are other amenities to enjoy at the resort on Saturday afternoon – if you would like – we will send those details out once you are registered.
For those of you that are married – Shhhhh – don’t tell your wife how much fun you’re gonna be having! Register today – Space is limited!

It’s not just something we do. It’s how we do church. We love Sunday services, but we “do church” in our Community Groups. This is the environment that you can make friendships, grow, and fall more in love with Jesus. There are groups that meet all across the area on different days and times. This is a 10-week semester, so don’t miss your chance to join a group.

Check out to find the group for you!

Don’t do life alone!

Hey Point Team! We have a team night coming up on Sunday, September 23rd at 6:00pm. Join us for a night of worship and to hear a message from Pastor Eddie. Oh, and did we mention that there will be giveaways, games, and loads of fun?  If you are currently a part of our Point Team, or simply interested in joining a team and serving at City Point, this is a night that you won’t want to miss!

Don’t Forget Serve Day on September! 15th

We have adopted Prestige Circle and need your help to keep Allen beautiful! You can help by volunteering at one of our Prestige Circle cleanup days. We come together four times a year to serve our city in this way. When we all work together, we can make a difference right here in our community. Our next Prestige Circle cleanup day is coming up on Saturday, September 15th @ 10:00AM.

“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him” Psalms 127:3

If you have been blessed with a new baby in your family or if you have a child that has never been dedicated – we would love for you to be a part of this special time in our service when we dedicate our children and their future to the Lord. The next opportunity for child dedication will be on Sunday, July 29th. If you would like to have your child dedicated, please RSVP by clicking the link below.

We are excited to announce an important update to giving at City Point! As you know, your generosity and financial partnership with us is how we are able to help expand the Kingdom. We value our church family and want to make sure everyone at City Point is aware of this exciting new giving platform, which allows for simple giving through a variety of ways, including mobile and online. You can try it out before Sunday, and even set up an account, if you’d like!

To start, you can:

1. Visit our website at
2. Text CITYPOINT to 77977
3. Download our City Point Church App here:

*This applies to ALL online giving, not just those who have recurring giving setup. Our current giving through Fellowship One and Kindred will no longer work so please save the new text number in your phone or setup a new account with PushPay for online giving.

This month, we will travel back to the Old Testament to visit God’s Lab of discoveries. The children shall encounter people in the Bible who did and did not listen & obey God. We will investigate the lives of folks like Esther, Samson, Naaman and Jonah to see God’s plans unfold. A talking donkey may teach us a little something too! What?!?

So tell the kids to grab the lab coats and safety goggles, pull out the microscopes and put on their thinking caps as we venture into God’s Laboratory this September! They may discover a little bit about themselves too!!

Wanna join me?
You might think serving in children’s ministry as wiping noses, changing diapers and basic chaos.
But let me suggest….it is sooooo much more! Children have an innate hunger for the things of God, even at an early age.

Every week, I get to see babies grabbing a Bible and finding a picture of Jesus. I see 3-year-olds praising God. I hear 5-year-olds quoting Bible verses back to me.
What an amazing opportunity we have been given!

City Kids

Incredible! Incredible story! Have you ever found yourself deep in the pages and have no idea how time got away from you? A little blip back into consciousness and that book that seemed like a behemoth, is now half read. City Kids had the same kind of experience happen. We started in Genesis and somehow, after blinking, we made it all the way to Revelation. Now, we get to start all over. The good news about that, is God’s story never fades or goes out of style. It’s powerful and life changing. We start again with creation and expect God to transform our kids and we see Jesus all throughout.

Our 5thand 6thgraders in Club 56 have been learning about “Bible battles.” God is often referred to as a warrior and champion. He fought for his people and still does today. The Bible sheds light on the spiritual battles we all face, and Club 56 is learning how to lean on God and trust him through those difficult times. 2 Corinthians 10:4 says “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. When we pray, use the Word, and obey God, God’s power enable us to face the battles we encounter.

City Kids is a great place to connect with other believers and make a great impact. Come check us out. We’d love to meet you.

Uprise Youth is the student ministry of City Point led by Andrew & Liz Brenden. We meet every Wednesday from 7:00-8:30pm at the church. Students in 7th-12th grade have an opportunity to make new friends, build a deeper relationship with Christ, and experience God in a real way! Bring some friends from school and come have a great time!

September 2nd – FIRST SUNDAY
What would a modern-day disciple of Jesus look like? How would they act, live, and interact with others? Every FIRST SUNDAY we’ll look at the concept of going all in and talk about what it really means to be a disciple. You won’t want to miss this class—it may just change the way you live your life. Join us for a breakfast & discussion every first Sunday during 1st service in the Club56 classroom.

Student Small Groups
We have SIX opportunities for your student to get involved in small groups! Pastor Andrew & Liz will be hosting student small groups for middle school & high school guys & girls. We also have 2 student-let groups happening this semester! One is a Vlogging group with Bailey & Brizah and the other is a Fortnite group with Will, Oz & Ethan.
