May Series

Running With The Giants

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Hebrews 12:1).

We are not the first ones to run this race. In this series, we will look at people of uncommon faith and see how they would encourage us. The world we live in is different than theirs, but our hearts are not. They have lessons to teach us as they cheer us on from the grandstands of heaven.

Get started on the pathway to discovering your purpose and realizing your potential with our Connection Point class! We talk about healthy habits of a believer, how to make a difference in the world you live in and we also share the vision of City Point. If you recently became a follower of Christ or you are interested in joining City Point Church, this is the class for you. Connection Point takes place every six weeks on a Sunday night, from 5:00–8:00 PM, at the end of the class we will share a meal together. To sign up for the next available class, just click on the link below to register so we can include you in the meal and provide childcare if needed.

Moms Make Life Beautiful!

At City Point, we believe that Mom’s Make Life Beautiful! We are thrilled to celebrate all of our Mom’s on Mother’s Day, May 13th, during both of our services at 9:30am and 11:00am. We have a special day planned that will make Mom feel loved and appreciated. Plus make Mom’s day by stopping by our photo wall for a family photo and, of course, we will have plenty of yummy treats for you. Bring your Mom and your friends and family for an unforgettable day!

Sign Up Today to Register for Water Baptism on May 20th!

At City Point, we believe that water baptism is a celebration of your decision to follow Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Just as the symbols of the wedding and wedding ring are a declaration of a marriage covenant, water baptism is the outward declaration of the covenant you’ve made with God. As your church, we would like to stand with you as you publicly declare you have made the decision to surrender your life to the Lord. Our next Water Baptism will be during 2nd Service on March 25th. To sign up, click the registration link below.

Our summer small groups kick off on Sunday, June 3rd. This is just a 6-week semester and we would love for you to lead a group! If you would like to lead a group please email

Spring is in the air. The crisp rain showers drench the grass. Leaves bud. Flowers emerge. And fruit prepares itself to be enjoyed by all.

Consider that first bite of a summer peach. Does not the sweet nectar drip down your chin? You think, “Ahhhh….that was the perfect peach!” That’s what producing good fruit tastes like.

Scripture says we should taste and see that the Lord is good. His goodness is one of the Fruit of the Spirit. Goodness joins his friends called love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control to be the full nine Fruit of the Spirit we will be learning about next month in the 4’s-Kinder class.

The littlest grapes, will discover Jesus’ gentleness and peace as they learn the stories about Him blessing the children and calming the storm. We hope your kiddos can join us Sundays in May and learn to be fruitful folks!

City Kids

With the spring season in full swing, it’s amazing to see radical transformation all around, including City Kids. There is an excitement in the air. It’s a great time to be a kid at City Point Church. We’ve recently added arcade style basketball hoops, a foosball table, kid safe dart boards, new games, and a new look for the whole room.

In addition to the changing environment, there is personal inside change taking place in our kids. Our Gospel Project series is currently exploring the Epistles and learning how the Holy Spirit is working inside of us, making us more like Jesus. During one of our recent lessons we asked the kids what the difference was between adoption and staying at someone’s house for a while. The Gospel places us in God’s family. However, transformation is a process. As we continue to submit to the Lord’s work in us, he changes us to be more like Jesus.

Our 5th and 6th graders in Club 56 are nearing the end of their “10 Commandments” series. With the preteen years being such a challenging time, it’s easy to be swallowed up in the whirlwind of voices from both inside and out. Where can we look for guidance? God’s laws can draw us in to who he is and who he wants us to be. Then, it’s a centering moment to realize that God is both just and loving, and that his justice was satisfied at “The Cross.”

The summation of all the law comes to two places. It’s about loving God and loving people. Pray for our preteens, that they would experience the power of God in their lives and that his love would be a stabilizing force when life gets shaky.

City Kids is a great place to connect with other believers and make a great impact. Come check us out. We’d love to meet you.
