Get started on the pathway to discovering your purpose and realizing your potential with our Connection Point class! We talk about healthy habits of a believer, how to make a difference in the world you live in and we also share the vision of City Point. If you recently became a follower of Christ or you are interested in joining City Point Church, this is the class for you. Connection Point takes place every six weeks on a Sunday night, from 5:00–8:00 PM, at the end of the class we will share a meal together. To sign up for the next available class, just click on the link below to register so we can include you in the meal and provide childcare if needed.

“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him” Psalms 127:3

If you have been blessed with a new baby in your family or if you have a child that has never been dedicated – we would love for you to be a part of this special time in our service when we dedicate our children and their future to the Lord. The next opportunity for child dedication will be on Sunday, July 29th. If you would like to have your child dedicated, please RSVP by clicking the link below.

During May and June, we took a look at The Giants of Faith. One of the things we noticed is many of them had encounters with God that changed the course of their life. These encounters with God renewed their vision of themselves and how God can use them to make a difference. The way we continue to grow spiritually is to give God space to renew us continually.

Ephesians 4:23-24 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

We have planned an Encounter Night for those that want to push a little deeper into everything God has provided for us. Join us on Sunday, July 29th at 6:30pm for an extended time of worship followed by a message and ministry with Adam & Ruthie Sanders. Childcare is provided for Infants through 1st grade.

Get involved and serve the community this Summer!  On July 9thand 10th, City Point will be participating in the Boyd Summer Lunch Program.  From 11:00am – 1:00pm, we’ll be preparing and serving meals to children at Boyd Elementary. During this time, we’ll also enjoy crafts and outdoor games with the kiddos. To sign-up and learn more, click the link below!

Thank you to John & Christina Taylor and the eight volunteers who successfully completed all 50 hours of training required to be a part of the Care Ministry.  These Christian men and women have spent the last six months going through an intensive training program so that they may provide one-to-one care to people experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, relocation, or separation due to military deployment.

During our 11:00am service on July 8th, we will pray over all the volunteers on this team and recognize their achievement as we officially launch this life-changing ministry here at City Point. Congratulations Care Team!

If you have some gently used clothing that you would like to donate to those in need, we are an official Trusted World donation center and have a donation receptacle located on the far west corner of the property.

We are excited to announce an important update to giving at City Point! As you know, your generosity and financial partnership with us is how we are able to help expand the Kingdom. We value our church family and want to make sure everyone at City Point is aware of this exciting new giving platform, which allows for simple giving through a variety of ways, including mobile and online. You can try it out before Sunday, and even set up an account, if you’d like!

To start, you can:

1. Visit our website at citypointchurch.com/give
2. Text CITYPOINT to 77977
3. Download our City Point Church App here: citypointchurch.com/app-download/

*This applies to ALL online giving, not just those who have recurring giving setup. Our current giving through Fellowship One and Kindred will no longer work so please save the new text number in your phone or setup a new account with PushPay for online giving.

I’m in the Lord’s Army, Yessir!Remember marching and saluting to that song in Sunday School as a youngster? I sure do! It may be a funny memory, but it is so true. Every day, we as believers, must armor up to stand against the tricks of the enemy in this world. We are in the Lord’s Army!

This July, your preschoolers will learn all about the Armor of God and how to put on daily. We will also uncover some of those famous fought and not-fought battles in the Bible. People like Joshua, David, Gideon and Deborah knew a little something about God’s power and saw victory on the battlefields. We will learn from the Greats!

Don’t miss it. Invite your friends. And Armor Up this summer in preschool!

Ever thought about helping in nursery and preschool? I’m looking for six people to serve once or twice a month on the team. Maybe it’s you? Do it! Don’t delay! Contact me: Alicia Ingram at aingram@citypointchurch.com.

City Kids

Summer Camp Dry Gulch USA was a hit! A big “thanks” to all those who helped make it happen. Our kids had a great time all week enjoying the activities and fun. They also had awesome chapel services with the theme of Jesus being our rescuer.

On Sunday’s, our Gospel Project continues with Paul’s journey to Rome and how he took advantage of every situation to share the good news of Jesus. Our current “Big Picture Question” is “When should we tell others about Jesus? We should always tell others about Jesus even when it’s difficult.”

Our 5th and 6th graders in Club 56 are also learning about sharing Jesus in a study of the Book of Acts. They recently learned about Peter’s vision about the “Gentiles” and how God’s plan of salvation includes anyone who calls on him (Romans 10:13). Pray that God will use our 5th and 6th graders to reach their peers with the Gospel.

City Kids is a great place to connect with other believers and make a great impact. Come check us out. We’d love to meet you.

What would a modern-day disciple of Jesus look like? How would they act, live, and interact with others? Every FIRST SUNDAY we’ll look at the concept of going all in and talk about what it really means to be a disciple. You won’t want to miss this class—it may just change the way you live your life. Join us for a breakfast & discussion every first Sunday during 1st service in the classroom.
